Billy Conway is one of the great drummers in American music: a relentlessly inventive, eerily intuitive player whose particular combination of spiritual authority and delicate restraint make him at once versatile and easily recognizable. He’s appeared on scores of albums across genres in the last four decades and influenced generations of players, becoming one of the most widely respected and beloved musicians in the country. 

Laurie Sargent rose to major-label stardom with the band Face to Face, and released a series of critically acclaimed solo albums in the course of a career that’s included stints fronting rock bands, stunt-singing in an ill-starred feature film, running an organic farm, keeping horses, raising children, training dogs, fighting fires, and painting pictures. Whip-smart and funny as hell, she’s an uncanny writer and performer with a natural connection to the dark fire of life. 

Initially set up to support a fundraising effort to help with Billy’s medical expenses, Crazy View Records continues to make available the music Billy created throughout his lifetime, with all proceeds from the tribute compilation ‘Further On’ going toward the Billy Conway Artist Fund created in his honor.
